CashStack helps you find the best cashback credit cards for how you actually spend. We built it to be privacy-first: your credit card statements are read on your own device, and your raw statements, account numbers, and name are never uploaded to us or stored on our servers. The sections below explain exactly what that means for the free product today and for optional Premium features in the future.

FREE When you upload a CSV or PDF statement, or fill out the questionnaire, all of it is processed entirely within your web browser. The file never leaves your device, and we never receive or store your raw statements, account numbers, card numbers, or name. When you close the tab, that data is gone.
PREMIUM (future, opt-in) Premium features like ongoing monitoring, alerts, cross-device sync, and spending history require saving some information so the service can work when you're not on the site. If and when you choose to enable Premium, here is our commitment:

If you enter a credit score, it is used only to filter which cards you're likely to qualify for. On the free product it stays in your browser; under Premium it would be part of the encrypted summary described above. We do not pull your credit, and we are not a credit bureau.
If you use the in-app feedback form, the rating, comments, and optional email you type are sent to us through a third-party form processor (Formspree) and delivered to our inbox. Only the information you choose to enter is sent. Please don't include sensitive financial details in feedback.
Some "Apply" buttons are affiliate links. If you click one and are approved for a card, we may earn a commission from the issuer at no cost to you. This never affects how cards are ranked — recommendations are ordered purely by value to you. Clicking an affiliate link takes you to the issuer's site, where the issuer's own privacy practices and cookies apply.
The CashStack app itself does not set advertising or tracking cookies. Our hosting provider (Netlify) may collect standard technical logs (such as IP address and request data) to serve and secure the site. If we add privacy-respecting analytics in the future, we will update this policy.
You can use the free product without an account and without giving us any stored data. Depending on where you live (for example, under California's CCPA/CPRA or the EU/UK GDPR), you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal data we hold. To make a request, email getcashstack@gmail.com.
CashStack is intended for adults (18+) and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
We may update this policy as the product evolves — most notably before enabling any Premium data storage. We'll revise the "Effective" date above when we do.
